The Chronicler continues his revisionist attack on the northern Kingdom of Israel while concentrating on the southern Kingdom of Judea and the Davidic Dynasty that was started in First Chronicles. The temple is build, Solomon dies, and we have a long procession of good, bad, and ugly kings. The thrust remains the reassembly of the Jewish community, a remnant of the obedient and observant.
